My forthcoming self-indulgent concert: 7.30pm Friday 13th November 2015 has sold out to an international audience!
We have put on another concert on Saturday 7.30pm Saturday 14th November 2015 with a fan club meet and greet at 3-5pm (which is free).
Click the pic to buy tickets for Saturday! 180 sold; only about 20 available! £15 full price, £10 concessions. (Updated May 2nd).
A rare opportunity to experience a full performance of Mike Oldfield’s debut album which launched Virgin Records in 1973 and a collection of other instrumental and chart hits. This one-off concert features a band of over 20 professional musicians led by Colchester Institute’s own Head of Digital Media, Phil Toms, and is a must for fans across the country and beyond!
Guest performers include film composer Roger Eno as the Master of Ceremonies, West End star Nicole Faraday (The Eva Cassidy Story, Bad Girls) on vocals and lead guitarist Jay Stapley, who performed with Mike Oldfield at the premiere of Tubular Bells II in Edinburgh in 1992.
We are very pleased to announce that special guests at the performance will include Tom Newman, producer of the original Tubular Bells album, and Phil Spalding on bass, who performed on ‘Moonlight Shadow’ and the 1980s tours – and also Steve Bingham performing this loopy version of Tubular Bells For One arranged by me.
